I have owned a mortgage brokerage and a mortgage bank. I’ve been employed by traditional banks and I’ve been involved in almost all aspects of the loan business. Out of all the aspects of this industry that I have been involved in, my favorite by far is that of a Loan Originator/Planner. I love people. Simply helping people with their residential financing or the refinancing of existing debt towards the ultimate goal of financial freedom, brings me the most joy.
I believe my role is to help educate you through the process so that you’re absolutely comfortable with your financial decisions and structure the debt side of your balance sheet to stay healthy long after the loan closes. Most importantly, my role is to teach rather than sell.
And I consider myself to be a tech geek and have always been involved with systems in one way or another. As the mortgage industry has changed over the last ten years, the companies and people that have embraced technology have held a competitive advantage. I, for one, love technology and I constantly seek ways to improve its place in my practice to make the process more enjoyable and convenient for those who embrace it.
